Raptor Bay
Designed by Raymond Floyd, Raptor Bay is an 18-hole golf course that was carefully crafted to blend with the environment, leaving a beautiful course with natural surroundings. A properly designed golf course, like Raptor Bay, with preserved and restored habitat is not only good for the game of golf, but promotes biological diversity.
Sustainability Features
- The 500 acre property includes roughly 22 acres of lakes and more than 200 acres of native vegetation and nature preserve.
- Native areas are protected under a conservation easement.
- Restored 25 acres of wetlands.
- Home to endangered species such as gopher tortoise and bald eagle.
- Removed exotic species such as melaleuca, Brazilian pepper and downey rose myrtle.
- Score card includes environmental features as part of golfer education.
