Cranes Pond

Cranes Pond is a 250-acre open space development located in the beautiful lake region of Southwest Michigan. Each home shares over 140 acres of designated open space, more than half of the total plan. Throughout this open space, carefully maintained walking trails will allow residents the chance to enjoy this pristine natural setting for generations.

Sustainability Features

• A 54-acre lake is preserved as the central focus of the community.
• Considerable planning was done in order to assure that the very qualities of lake and land were not destroyed by construction.
• A detailed habitat and biological survey of the property was done well before the overall design process began.
• A management plan was developed that integrates environmental and habitat protection into overall management.
• Roadsides were planted with native grasses and wildflowers rather than turf to reduce maintenance and irrigation needs.
