Miles M. (Bud) Smart, Ph.D.
Dr. Smart earned a doctorate in limnology from the University of Missouri. Dr. Smart is recognized as an expert in solving problems and managing risk associated with aquatic resources and watershed/water dynamics resulting from various land uses. He has 30 years of experience developing and implementing environmental management strategies to protect and enhance water resources. Many of the 30 years have been devoted to evaluating the effects of and implementing solutions for various pollutants including nutrients, toxic chemicals, physical stressors, and habitat degradation in aquatic ecosystems in Asia, Africa, Europe, Central America, South America and throughout Canada and the US.


Charles H. Peacock, Ph.D.
Dr. Peacock earned a doctorate from the University of Florida. He has 30 years of experience and is an expert in the areas of turfgrass nutrition and stress physiology, fertilizer technology and soils interactions, and environmental quality. He has consulted on agronomic issues on several hundred golf courses. He has published over 225 research and popular articles in turfgrass management and given over 200 presentations at conferences, workshops, seminars, and short courses in the US, Canada, France, Hong Kong and Japan. He is a Professor of Crop Science specializing in Turfgrass Management at North Carolina State University and provides expertise on agronomic issues to Audubon Environmental.


J. Russell (Russ) Bodie, M.A.
Mr. Bodie earned a B.S. in Marine Science (University of South Carolina) and an M.A. in Biological Sciences (University of Missouri), with an emphasis in Landscape Ecology. Mr. Bodie has been involved with aquatic and terrestrial research and management for 15 years and specializes in applying Best Management Practices and sound ecological principles to managed environments. He remains active in research on wetland ecology and has authored and co-authored several journal articles, including cover articles in BioScience and Conservation Biology. Mr. Bodie is a keen student of sustainable development and has certifications in erosion prevention and sediment control inspection as well as in the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Global Positioning Systems (GPS) since 1995.


EntreAmbiente, Susana Morais, M.S.
EntreAmbiente, lda is a valuable partner implementing sustainable development in Europe. Ms. Morais received a MS from the University of California, Berkeley in Landscape Architecture – Environmental Planning. She also has a background in Landscape Architecture from the University of Agronomy in Lisbon, Portugal. Ms. Morais has extensive experience conducting site evaluations and providing analysis for site vegetation, landscaping opportunities, preservation or restoration potential, and evasive vegetation removal.


Richard (Rich) W. Henderson
Mr. Henderson completed his MBA degree with a concentrated focus on Services Management from NC State University. Mr. Henderson has 10 years experience in a broad range of business management including: sales and business development, customer relations and support, information technology, human resources management, and public and interpersonal communication. He is active and involved with the Urban Land Institute, serving locally in the Triangle ULI District Council. In the past Mr. Henderson has worked as a regional account manager for SAS where he managed sales and support for 11 states in the US Northeast region.
